New online training portal for agents launched
9 July 2019
Education New Zealand is pleased to advise that a new agent training portal is now live.
AgentLab provides training, tools and resources for agents to help them promote New Zealand as an international study destination.
Grant McPherson, Education New Zealand’s Chief Executive, welcomed the launch.
“Education agents play an important role in New Zealand’s international education sector. Currently, more than half of all international students who study in New Zealand engage with an education agent for advice and information before their arrival.”
The portal is ‘gamified’ and interactive. Agents can control the order in which they complete courses and dip in and out of the assessments as they wish.
It contains short modules which take approximately seven to 10 minutes to complete.
AgentLab has been designed with agent needs in mind, to help them regardless of their current level of understanding of the unique benefits of studying in New Zealand.
“AgentLab offers additional functionality. In addition to interactive courses, AgentLab will have live webinars, a document library and the latest education news from New Zealand. It is accessible on computers, smartphones and tablets,” Mr McPherson said.
Over time, ENZ will add more courses and resources to the platform.
Mr McPherson said education providers, regional bodies and peak body groups will have the opportunity to contribute courses and content, ensuring it becomes a valuable ongoing resource for education agents.
