Here is some of what our International and in-country teams have been up to promoting studying in Aotearoa New Zealand over the past four weeks.

ENZ Senior Market Development Manager, Brazil Bruna de Natale met with Chief Executive of NZTE Peter Chrisp, in São Paulo, Brazil. They spoke about the recovery of Brazilian students in New Zealand after the pandemic.

On 20 July, ENZ and HTI co-hosted an agent workshop for more than 60 partner agents of Huatong Xinnuo Int'l Cultural Exchange Center Limited (one of China ‘s biggest business to business education agencies) at NZ Central in Shanghai. Vanessa Wu from NZ Winegrowers gave a NZ wine tasting session and an introduction to the NZ wine industry and its opportunities for international students.

A meeting held on 12 July by Study in Brazil and the Belta (Brazilian Educational & Language Travel Association (BELTA)), brought together several players in the education sector in Brazil to discuss promoting the country as a study destination for foreign students.

ENZ supported and attended the official post opening of the New Zealand High Commission Sri Lanka. 

The Post was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Sriir Lanka, Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, and was attended by over 250 key NZ Inc contacts.

On 29 June, ENZ Programme Manager Asia Jaruwan Pongjaruwat, together with the Hearts and Minds agency, hosted the webinar for Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi teachers and students regarding the Otago Polytechnic horticulture programme 2023-2024.  

The students participating in this campaign will have a chance to study English and horticulture. with earnings from fruit picking offsetting the tuition fee. The total period of study is six months.
