The ENZ team works together to raise awareness of education opportunities in New Zealand and to support education providers marketing their products and services overseas.
It has more than 80 staff in 20 locations around the world. In New Zealand, it has a head office in Wellington and staff in Auckland and Christchurch.

The New Zealand-based industry development team leads ENZ’s engagement with New Zealand’s international education industry and businesses.
Through high quality sector engagement, the team builds a deep understanding of sector support priorities and growth opportunities onshore and offshore.
The international team is the face of ENZ around the world. It builds and maintains key relationships with governments, organisations and stakeholders, and leads ENZ’s engagement globally.
As in-market experts, international team members develop country and market plans to make the most of business opportunities in line with ENZ’s business plan. They support New Zealand institutions overseas, and work at offshore fairs and events to attract students to New Zealand.
The student marketing team develops, delivers and protects the New Zealand education, brand and story to market the country’s international education offering globally.
The team is responsible for managing major events around the world, and for the Study in New Zealand website and associated social media channels. It provides stakeholders with tools and resources through The Brand Lab to help promote the benefits of a New Zealand education.
From Wellington, the team delivers ENZ’s inbound and outbound scholarship programme.
The stakeholders and communications team informs, connects with, and influences ENZ’s audiences and stakeholders.
The purpose of the strategy and insight team is to identify, lead and coordinate strategic thinking and priority projects and initiatives for Education New Zealand and for New Zealand's international education industry.
This team identifies strategic partners for the organisation and determines how we can leverage relationships with them to maximise returns.
The team also manages ENZ's intelligence function, ensuring an organisation wide approach. The intelligence team, understands the information needs of our key stakeholders, monitors existing information sources, identifies ways of applying these to ENZ and its customers' needs and sources additional intelligence where this will add value to the development of the New Zealand international education industry.
The organisational development/human resources team focuses on making ENZ a great place to work. From recruitment to induction, it ensures staff have the skills and information needed to do their jobs effectively.
The team works with managers to give staff opportunities for professional development, and leads work on ENZ’s ‘one team’ culture.
The corporate services team maintains effective financial controls and processes such as budgeting, and financial and strategic planning. It processes all ENZ’s financial transactions, ensures its procurement processes are sound, and develops and maintains its IT systems.
