Draft International Education Strategy for New Zealand to 2025
Draft international education strategy - consultation closes 31 August 2017.
The government is currently consulting on a draft strategy that sets out its proposed vision, goals and immediate priorities for international education through to 2025.
The vision is that international education will continue to contribute to a vibrant and prosperous New Zealand. The draft strategy sets out the proposed actions the government will take to support a high quality and sustainable international education sector that delivers net benefits to New Zealand.
The draft strategy was developed with input from the sector, including an online survey and a series of workshops in 2016, to identify the future challenges and opportunities of international education in New Zealand. The Ministry of Education and Education New Zealand are leading the strategy’s development.
Consultation will close on 31 August 2017.
You are welcome to provide feedback on the draft strategy, by:
* completing the online survey (the survey functions best in Chrome or Firefox)
* attending one of seven workshops being held throughout New Zealand for the international education sector – please register here
* emailing your feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org
We will also host a session to discuss the draft strategy at NZIEC on 23 August 2017. The session will explore the draft strategy’s framework and will include an opportunity to provide feedback.
Following consultation, the strategy will be finalised and implementation plan developed for launch later this year.
